Acadian Health, a leading provider of hospital-at-home services, looks forward to resuming services and treating patients at home upon the reopening of the federal government.
Many hospital-at-home programs across the nation were operating under a waiver through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which lapsed amid the federal government shutdown.
Acadian Health’s hospital-at-home program provides patients with the same level of care they would receive in a hospital, but as inpatients in the comfort of their own homes. Services include round-the-clock comprehensive care, on-demand critical care, daily rounding, on-site advanced diagnostics, and more. The company works directly with hospital systems to support patients and their caregivers who qualify for hospital-at-home services.
“While we utilize telehealth as part of our programs, hospital-at-home creates a human connection between the patient, our in-home providers, and the hospital’s virtual care team that results in improved patient outcomes and increased satisfaction. Our mobile integrated health team members are looking forward to resuming work and providing care to patients,” said Jeremy Coombs, Acadian Health Senior Director.
Acadian Health currently has 125 mobile integrated health providers supporting hospital-at-home programs in seven states. The company is prepared to resume services to meet its forecasted 35,000 patient visits for 2025.
Acadian Health is a rapidly growing company with a mission to make acute care-at-home, clinic-at-home, and hospital-at-home care the standard of care for patients across the country. The company has operations in Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Ohio.
